Hi a buyer has requested me to delay shipping an item as he is away on holiday he has good feedback and the item is just over £20.00 so I replied to his message and said ( ok no problem) now I see EBAY are saying overdue despatch I am concerned I will get bad feedback .
What can you advise

Mentor1 month agoYou will get a late delivery defect and, if you've already activated the postage label it may time out.
How long are you delaying this for?

OP1 month agoHe Paid on the 7th July and asked me to post on the 27 July and i haven’t activated the delivery label

Mentor1 month agoThat's nearly 3 weeks and too long to delay.
Personally, I'd explain to the buyer that the postage label will time out and that you need to cancel this order (if you get the go ahead from the buyer you can use the 'buyer asked to cancel' reason which won't give you a defect) and then relist the item when they return and they can repurchase it.
