buyer requested delay in shipping

Question

buyer has paid for item and requested a 7 day delay in shipping as he is on holiday. ebay tells me to ship by tomorrow and when i contact via messaging it says i need to ship regardless of whether the buyer has said wait or not. How can this be? what happens if i wait till 27th ?

You will get a dispatch defect on your account. Best thing to do is cancel/refund the transaction with the buyer's agreement (via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list) and relist when they get back for them to buy and pay again.
