Buyer protection, seller wont respond to a return request
Hi I received an item that was damaged, (coach for my railway layout) Although I can't now use it as intended, being a modeller, I can repair and use in a different context. My seller simply told me to seek a refund through ebay buyer protection and does not respond to returns requests. How do I get ebay involved so I can either return and get full refund or get a partial refund as the damaged item is not what I was buying
Thanks Mark

Mentor4 months agoAs implied by the other posters it must be done through you simply opening an eBay case for "damaged" and the seller sends you a label to return. If not then escalate after 4 days. You get a full refund.
It is not necessary to write to seller and in my view is a bad idea. The system works best for return and full refund.
A pity really because it looks a nice coach and a simple enough repair!
