Buyer paid then immediately cancelled. My eBay balance paid them back. When do I get my money back?

Basically that's it. I accepted the cancellation expecting I wouldn't get his money and he couldn't get mine but it appears he's been refunded from my ebay balance and my funds from him are 'pending. Great.

When do I get my balance back?

That's how ebay refund. You will keep the payment when it clears.
