I need help. i sold 2 items when i posted i forgot to put one of the items in the box. so sent it seperatly. buyer got both items and was happy but i thought i would refund £5.24 as a way of saying sorry. the buyer accepted. but for some reason she has not received it.

so why hasn't buyer recieved the money yet. kind regards.

OP3 weeks agoI don't understand how any of this new ebay works. i just hope i'm doing things right. i offered a refund of my own back. but eaby are saying not to pay buyers out of ebay as i'm not covered if any thing goes wrong but it looks like i may have to.

Mentor3 weeks agoYour goodwill refund is a different thing but where there is a problem, ie. an item has been lost or damaged in transit, with Simple Delivery ebay issue the refund themselves and the seller keeps the payment.

As sellers have virtually no protection I cannot see what difference it makes, whether a voluntary refund, or through a case opened by buyer.
As said only if payment source is paypal is refund fast, otherwise for debit card 7 days, credit card 30 days. Unfortunately ebay notifications do not mention the delay.

Mentor3 weeks agoRefunds return to source. If the buyer used their credit card it will go back to card which can take up to 30 days, although usually quicker.
