    Buyer impatient refund

I’ve had a terrible experience with an impatient seller. He was aware it was 2nd class post which is not rapid as they’ve cut down how often they deliver. I think I sent it on the 7th after work which is a reasonable turnaround my end. He can see when I marked it as shipped. He requested a refund before it was even outside the expected delivery window. In the UK during this time we’ve had a literal snow storm and we still have a Xmas backlog. He’s chancing it to get the card for free and it’s so clear that’s what he’s doing. There’s no way to get them to wait like an adult until it’s a week late or postpone the request for a bit. I also feel he will lie. How’d I highlight this and give him a bad rating without this happening again and to protect you guys from situations like this.!Im pressed against a wall when no reasonable company would refund now 2 days outside the expected delivery window. I can’t seem to contact eBay either. This could be a deal breaker for the platform.

I’ll go above and beyond for buyers but not ones who are trying to take advantage of situations

I take it you are the seller, as your first line states....  ' I’ve had a terrible experience with an impatient seller. '

The buyer may have opened a case for the wrong item with the wrong seller?

If not, opening one now,  before the last estimated date for delivery,  they will not be able to escalate it.

Yes sorry I’m the seller it’s the buyer who messaged me before the window
was even up which makes me feel they’re just being impatient and
    unreasonable particular given the weather!!

Is there anything I can do? Or if royal mail are 2 days late, in-spite of
reasonable rational reasons, do we have to just give people free stuff?

Yep, there are those who are impatient, but if the case was opened before the last estimated date for delivery they cannot escalate it.

However,  if it is delayed and you can prove the recent bad weather affected the delivery see below eBay's announcement how to deal with this matter.....

Good luck , you're obviously a conscientious seller so when this happens it's twice as hard to take and deal with ! 🤗

You are a legend! That was really helpful.
The issue is for untracked low value items where eBay seems to have no
buffer or tolerance / way to get buyers to be more reasonable which is a
shame and could cost us guys a lot of money cumulatively. EBay isn’t my
livelihood but nevertheless I think it’s important to highlight deficits
    for those who it is.

It does make you think twice not using eBay simple but it’s more time
consuming that slapping on a stamp if you don’t have a printer and paying
2.70 on a £8 product isn’t in buyers interests either. But if it’s going to
come to this we may have to start doing what’s best for us even if it’s not
    the best for them.
