"Buyer Help Guide: How to Appeal an eBay Money Back Guarantee Decision (Human Review Request Template)"
Summary: jen5590 provides guidance on requesting a human review for eBay disputes, emphasizing the need for clear evidence. tobiasd4 notes that disputes can be challenging, especially when delivery scans conflict with buyer claims, and mentions that photographic evidence is often overlooked in automated processes. jen5590 shares personal experiences with unresolved cases despite having evidence. papso22 questions the effectiveness of the guidance, to which jen5590 confirms that it has worked for them.
Human Review Request Guide
Note: This guide is intended to help with genuine cases where a dispute decision may not reflect the actual circumstances of the transaction. It should only be used when the information provided is accurate and supported by evidence. It is not intended for false claims, inaccurate information, or misuse of the eBay process or to avoid eBay's normal processes. Always provide accurate information and supporting evidence.
If you believe an eBay dispute decision does not reflect the actual circumstances of your transaction, request a formal human review.
Provide clear evidence, explain the issue factually, and explain why automated information alone does not represent the full situation.
A delivery scan confirms a tracking event, but it does not always confirm the complete outcome of a transaction. A human review allows the evidence and circumstances to be considered.

Guidance is only useful if it achieves results.

Mentor3 weeks agoThis is an ebay member forum, not ebay CS.
Some of your points may be valid,
but, if you look at MBG, if item arrives damaged or not at all, then you open the relevant ebay case & are almost guaranteed a refund.
Tracking showing as delivered even though buyer claims not received has always been a headache, but what's the point of proof of delivery if no one believes it.

OP3 weeks agothankyou for the reply, I had two cases closed on me this year and non refunded due to automation even with photographic evidence and detail, even with MoneyBackGaurntee (MGB) there was no protection for me even though I proved it

Mentor3 weeks agoOnce a case is opened, you have to escalate it on day 4 if not resolved.
Some sellers will try to delay you doing this, ignore them.
Cases are automated, so photographic evidence is rarely looked at.
