buyer has requested to view furniture
Summary: esal1607 discusses a buyer requesting to view furniture. jckl1957 and papso22 engage in the conversation, though the details of their responses are unspecified.
A potential buyer has requested to view a sofa set I'm selling and purchase at that point if happy. This seems a reasonable request given the nature of the item and I've made it clear on my messages (eBay message platform) that the purchase would be need to be made through eBay. I tried providing an address a few hours before the planned visit, but the address info was automatically picked up by the platform and blocked. I obviously don't want to break any rules, and understand why eBay does this (seller protection, fraud prevention, etc...). Any suggestions?

·6 months agoIf you want to sell on Ebay, it is not allowed for the buyer to view until they have paid.
This is to prevent you and the buyer doing an off Ebay deal.
Ebay would lose out on fees and the buyer would have no protection.
There is not any legitimate way around this.
