Buyer has requested that I delay posting his parcel until end of August which is beyond the "post by" date on my simple delivery label.
Ebay chat has told me I must post it before 20/8/2026 but I have assured my buyer that I won't. Does the "post by" date really matter? Could I get a refund and another label?

Mentor2 weeks agoYes it does matter it will not be accepted at a post office or by Royal Mail.
You wont be able to get another label you will have to do this yourself.
Depending on who paid for the label it will be refunded.

OP2 weeks agoThanks for that - I'll send by Royal Mail and request a refund. I had to get help finding how to get a simple delivery refund - it's not easy to find!

The usual advice is to cancel the sale and relist when the buyer is ready. That's the only way to get any seller protection.
