Buyer has requested Royal Mail delivery, but I have been sent Evri label to print
Due to problems with Evri delivery, buyer advised me that they had selected Royal Mail option for delivery. However ebay have provided me with Evri label - how do I change this please

Mentor9 months agoYou listed as freepost, so pay for postage from money buyer paid you.
So you can select your own carrier.

OP9 months agoThanks for your reply, being new to selling I'm not sure how this would work. Buyer pays ebay who hold funds until goods received (by tracking advice) - how do ebay get clearance to release funds? Apologies for my ignorance

Mentor9 months agoIf there is no tracking on ebay (which there won't be if you change label) the payment will be held for 14 days but you will get it.
Do as tobias suggests. You can cancel the original label here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
(the line about needing to be sent with a tracked service in order to receive the refund no longer applies).
You can't change tracking on your orders page but you would be able to enter the new number if buyer opened a "not received" case and the tracking showed receipt.

Mentor9 months agoYou have to post item before ebay will release money.
If you had listed as buyer pays postage, ebay would have supplied link to download label.

Mentor9 months agoUnless you're willing to pay for RM yourself you'd have to cancel transaction, opt out of Evri in your postage preferences, then relist for buyer to buy again with RM.

OP9 months agoHi, Thanks for your reply, being new to selling, I'm unsure how to cancel transaction as buyer has already paid (it was an auction listing) and payment triggered the label. I know how to select postage preferences. Presumably I would relist as a 'buy now' and hope that buyer bought again?
