Buyer has reported to me item was missing from parcel when received, how do I deal with this?

Hi,

First time a buyer has reported a item was missing/stolen from the parcel I sent to them

I got proof of me packaging the item in a sealed envelope and proof of sending it in the post office (receiept)

The buyer messaged me stating it was missing from the parcel and was stolen

I used simple delivery, how do I deal with this?

Ask them to open a return using reason "arrived damaged". Then ebay will issue the refund themselves and you keep the payment. It can't be a "not received" case because the tracking will show delivery.
