buyer has not collected item
Summary: blued100 sold an item that was marked for collection only, but the buyer, who lives 7 hours away, has not picked it up despite initially planning to come one weekend. blued100 has struggled to get a response from the buyer and is considering whether to cancel the sale and relist the item or seek eBay's assistance. john1297576 suggests canceling the sale immediately, citing the buyer's address issue, and blocking the buyer, noting that waiting 6 weeks was too long.
sold an item on the 10th June which due to it size and weight was listed as collection only. I can see that payment is being held but have had no communication regarding collection since the first messages which were exchanged within the first week when he said he would pick it up at the weekend ,then after I messaged him to find out what time he was coming on saturday he informed me he would not be able to make it but would come the next weekend ,but since then despite repeated messages sent by me to the buyer have received no reply ,the buyer revealed he is about 7hrs away from me . Is the best course of action to cancel the order and relist item or can ebay get involved and find out what is happening

Cancel sale using reason problem with buyer address, and relist. Block the originsl buyer.
Never wait 6 weeks for a buyer to collect, 7 hours away, surely you had some indication of where buyer lived, as you should have cancelled weeks ago.

OP3 weeks agoI just assumed maybe mistakenly that if someone pays £500 for an item and makes no attempt to cancel order they might still want the item.
