Buyer has asked for delayed dispatch as away on holiday
Hi....my buyer has asked me not to dispatch an item for 3 weeks as they will be away on holiday. He has paid for the item but I know Ebay expect me to dispatch it in 2 days....any tips on how to keep Ebay happy and facilitate the buyers request?...shipping is via the global programme....thanks

MentorAug 8, 2026 at 7:59 AMThat's very unfair of your buyer, they should have enquired about this before bidding/buying.
If you do that you'll get a late dispatch delivery strike and the postage label that the buyer has paid for will expire.
Let your buyer know this and ask if they still want it sent out now or if they'd like to cancel and re-purchase in a few weeks. Then you can cancel by selecting the 'Buyer asked to cancel' reason, which doesn't give your account a damaging defect.
