buyer had dispute through ebay which has now been resolved
I recently posted an incorrect item to a buyer in error, the buyer opened the case through Ebay and has now returned the item to me and I have posted the correct item to the buyer independently, we have now both received the items but Ebay says I must now refund the buyer, how can I let Ebay know the matter is resolved as I needn't now refund the buyer as he has got his ordered Item

If no action is taken, it will time out after 30 days.

You may not be able to stop the automatic refund and your buyer will need to pay you outside of eBay (PayPal, bank transfer).
You can run this by eBay, but I don't think they'll be able to help here. Worth a try though. I’ve found that the best route to contact eBay Customer Services is via the link below where you can call them or request a call back if you’re using the app (if you’re using desktop you’ll need to go round the houses with AI and start a chat then keep typing ‘agent’ until you get the option to live chat with a CS rep or to have a call back):
