Buyer had already sold an item that I’ve just won and paid for!
So I’ve just paid nearly £600 for some sofas, for the seller to finally contact me, and tell me that they’ve already sold them.
if I cancel the order, will I lose my buyer protection fee?
it surely needs to be cancelled by them, but they are refusing to do so, as they don’t know how?

Mentor5 months agoYou wont lose the buyer fee, you will get a full refund however a buyer can only request a cancellation it still has to be actioned by the seller as they no longer have the items they would get a defect mark against their account which is why they are asking you.
Wait until the estimated delivery date has passed and open a claim for item not received if you don't want to send cancellation request you will still get your full refund and seller will have the defect, you can also leave feedback saying seller had already sold items
