Buyer claims package was empty
Summary: p888boy sent an iPhone in a package, but the buyer claims the package was empty. They mentioned that the courier supposedly opened the package to verify this, which p888boy finds suspicious. p888boy has reported the issue to eBay and is awaiting a resolution. Other participants suggested that the buyer might be attempting a scam and advised to block the phone while waiting for eBay's response. p888boy is confident in their shipping and finds inconsistencies in the buyer's claims.
I know I have sent the package with the iPhone in the box, but the buyer claims it was empty. He's sent me a copy of the text with the courier company that told him the box was empty. Here is the weird part, wasn't the package supposed to be delivered to the buyer and ONLY he should've opened the package to find out if it was empty (which I'm 200% sure wasn't) He claims it was opened by the courier to inform him it was empty, what the hell is that about. I've reported this to eBay and hope they can resolve it. But what do you guys think ?

OP1 month agoActually, he said the packaging was empty, didn't mention the box or a picture of a box. Sounds dodgy to me. Pictures sent did not include the box. I think I'd know if I'd wrapped just bubble wrap with nothing in it. Sheesh.

Mentor1 month agoUntil buyer opens a Not as described case there is nothing you or ebay can do.
He could be trying it on hoping you will refund, and be reluctant to involve ebay.

OP1 month agoI'm sticking to my guns. He even showed me a picture of the empty packaging without the box, really !!! Thanks for your comment.
