Buyer claiming item was damaged eBay refunded

Hi I sold a switch 2 game and buyer said case was damaged and sleeve ripped but for a switch 2 game I find that hard to believe but eBay refunded and he got a free game how fair is that??? I never lost any money but I think it’s crazy if you get me any thoughts

If ebay refunded and you did not have to, Fairness does not come into it, under the previous system you would have had to pay for return postage and refund in full.

I feel that buyers who know the system, must find it far too easy to get items for free and abuse the return process by claiming damaged in transit.
