Buyer cancellations
A buyer can wait up to 4 days to cancel while a seller has to post within 24 hours. We all get notifications as soon as an item sells etc do why this unfair difference . A buyer can mess you about with no penalty or negative feedback.

Mentor2 weeks agoIf a seller posts within 24hrs then a buyer wouldn't have 4 days to cancel. I'm not quite sure what you're asking here.

OP2 weeks agoThe buyer did not pay for the item and chose to wait until last minute to request a cancellation.

Mentor2 weeks agoAh, right, that's just an occupational hazard of selling online I'm afraid.
All of the various selling sites have their own policies for cancellations. I have my buyer requirements set to automatically cancel as unpaid after 4 days.

OP2 weeks agoSure. But it's not fair. I think eBay should review this. Thank you

Mentor2 weeks agoA buyer gets a non payment strike if they don't pay in 4 days. One doesn't do their account much harm. If they get two, they'll find themselves blocked from buying from the majority of sellers on eBay.
If they continue to receive strikes, they'll be booted off the site. Permanently.

OP2 weeks agoYes, no problem with that but that wasn't the issue. It seems unfair buyers can wait until last minute for a cancellation request. 😥

Mentor2 weeks agoThat shouldn't be a problem for you. You have No Returns on your listings so can refuse any cancellation requests, aside of course for anything covered by eBay's 30 day MBG , say a damaged item received.
With that, using Simple Delivery, eBay would fully refund the buyer and you get to keep the payout.
No real issues I can see here.

OP2 weeks agoI think people are missing my point. Sellers have to post within 1 day. Buyers can leave it for 4 days then cancel.

Mentor2 weeks agoSellers only post within 24 hours AFTER buyer has paid,
If no payment, you don't post.

Mentor2 weeks agoSellers chose when to post, it does not have to be one day.
Buyer has 4 days to pay, you do not have to accept a last minute cancellation, I would cancel on day 5 for non payment.
