Buyer asked for a video before they would pay
Hi,
I received an offer from an ebay member, they asked for a video of the item to be sent to their email address before they would pay for the item. I find this a bit odd.
Is it a scam?

You are shipping to London so accept my offer and send me the item video to my email before i make payment And that is my Gmail com email below and I will respond to Ur mail after I got the video for fast transaction.

I accepted the offer & tried to send the video but the email I sent was empty as the video did not attach.
Afterwards I cancelled the sale as I didn't think they would want the item without the video.
Now I'm worried as this may be a scam.

Mentor6 months agoThe only scam element might be them getting your email address. Without other information that's unlikely to lead to anything but be vigilant in case of phishing emails, just in case.

Mentor6 months agoNo but it is something they should have asked for before making the offer (assuming it's an official offer through ebay). You could put a video on another site and send them the link.
