Buyer address incomplete - eBay: "Your buyer has reached out about their order. Since you used Simple Delivery, we'll work with your buyer directly on any delivery related questions."
Summary: capitluk is facing difficulties dispatching an item due to an incomplete address provided by a buyer on eBay. They've reached out to the buyer but received a generic message from eBay indicating that the buyer 'has reached out,' which seems incorrect. **peaseblossom** explains that sellers only see full addresses when printing labels and advises on the process if the label is incorrect. capitluk considers waiting for the buyer's response or canceling the order to prevent issues.
Hello. I'm trying to dispatch an item to a buyer (using Simple Delivery), who hasn't supplied a complete address.
I've messaged the buyer for their address, and eBay has added a note to that message "Your buyer has reached out about their order. Since you used Simple Delivery, we'll work with your buyer directly on any delivery related questions.".
This doesn't make sense, as I can't see the buyer "has reached out about their order". It's me reaching out to them!.
Does this mean eBay has delivered my request to them, or is it doing that stupid thing of preventing any personal details (ie. addresses) going into the message? The address is the crucial part here, so I need that to send their item out.
Also: has eBay set up Simple Delivery, where the full address is actually only visible to the dropoff agent, not me? Ie. when I scan the QR code, will they have a label with the full address printed on it?. It's been about 9 months since I last sold anything. Previously, I still had to add an address label, so has that now changed?

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedSellers only see the buyer's full address when you print ebay's Simple Delivery label. If even the label is not right you can cancel the transaction via the dropdown menu using the reason "problem with buyer's address". If they correct it you can relist for them to buy again.
The message is just generic information to say that with SD ebay take care of "not received" or "damaged in transit" claims.
