·10 months agoEbay only allow you 30 days to return an item.
What did you buy?
You may be able to start a chargeback with your payment provider if it was a new item that you could reasonably have expected to last longer.

I would say that a toilet seat which broke after only 2 months of use was 'not fit for purpose'.

Mentor10 months agoeBay have a 30 day money back guarantee/buyer protection.
After 2 months you're outside of that timeframe, they don't offer any kind of extended warranty.

But, as is always the case, wherever you buy from, you have to contact the seller and pursue your rights.

Mentor10 months agoNo, eBay is just a selling platform, you're buying from a seller who's using the platform.
All platforms have return timeframes to work to.
Did you pay with a debit or credit card? If so, you have 120 days from your payment date to issue a chargeback via them.
