OP7 months agoIt has come through with no hello or anything. I think ill leave and if its an issue it will flag and we can resolve as we log in. Appreciate your help though but it sounds like may not be correct. I was also cautious as its asking to use the link then login but were already logged in so should be able to action from within the ebay account without having to go to another page.

As said you can check this with Customer Services, but with the extra information you've provided saying you were not being addressed by your real name, this is a red flag to indicate it's not from eBay.
I also reiterate click on no links.

·7 months agoMy thought is that this is a phishing email and nothing to do with Ebay.
I would follow Ebay's advice - see below.
It says they will confirm they have received the email so I would assume, in the unlikely event it is genuine, they will let you know.

Mentor7 months agoIf this came through your eBay messages and addressed you by you real name and not just Hello User, or Hello musiq-group then it's real.
However, I would contact Customer Services just to be sure, let them confirm they sent you this message, meanwhile do not click on any links there.
I strongly recommend contacting CS 8 a.m. on a weekday when the lines open for ' live agents' as then, there's more chance of Dublin answering.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.
It's not easy to get through to CS, you just have to have perseverance! Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today, to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?
That takes you to an annoying AI bot but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent, they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!
