Blocked buyer using multiple accounts to try and buy from me
A buyer won an item I was selling but didn't pay. Two days after the auction I sent them a polite message to check in. They said they would pay me yesterday, which was 5 days after the auction ended. They then sent me a message asking if I could hold the item for another week which I obviously cant agree to. From their messages they sent yesterday they obviously knew they didn't have the money to pay when the bought it and the messages became increasing entitled, basically "I know I can't pay for it just now but I really want it so you need to hold it for me."
I cancelled the sale and blocked and reported them as I was starting to become uneasy at how pushy and demanding they were being. They then immediately used a different account to bid on the relisted item, which I have also cancelled and blocked, and temporarily removed the item from sale.
Apart from reporting them to ebay, is there anything else I can do to try and prevent them from buying it through a different account? This has put a sour taste in my mouth and I don't trust them not to cause more problems if they do manage to buy the item through a different account.

OP5 months agoJust to add more context, the item is an expensive collectors item so i can't afford to lose either the item or the money for it if anything does go wrong.

Mentor5 months agoAll you can do is report them to ebay. Buyers are not allowed to use another account to get round a block.
As for not being able to afford to lose the item and the money, there is nothing you can do to remove that risk.
