Bids being blocked on age restricted items
How can I verify my age manually?
I'm trying to bid on a vintage axe, but my bids are being blocked. Bids still work on other normal items, but not on any similar listing which would be age restricted. I've verified before, and am not provided a "continue" type button to resolve the bids being blocked.

Mentor3 weeks agoYou have to prove, to verify that you are 18 years or older to buy any bladed article anywhere in the UK.
eBay only accept a credit card, for this verification process, because anyone of any age can own a debit card, and you need to be 18 years or older to have a credit card.
Those Credit card Companies have already done their stringent checks on the holders of those cards, so to save time and money, eBay use those checks for their own benefit.
The only way round this for you, is to ask a friend or family member who has a credit card on their eBay account, to buy this item for you.

Mentor3 weeks agoCurrently only a ( monthly payment ) Credit Card entry in your Name to confirm your age is acceptable to eBay --- nothing else will do !! --- an everyday use Debit Card will not be accepted.
Do you have a friend or family member with a Credit Card who can buy on your behalf ?. --- @bremay1718
