Bidding glitch?
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and can explain. I had an item on my watchlist and was planning on putting my maximum bid last moment. In the last 15 minutes or so, it showed as around £50. When it was down to the last minute I bid my maximum of 100, which it immediately said had already been outbid.
Afterwards I looked at the bid history and saw that someone else had bid 100 earlier so they had won - but it also said they had made this bid 11 hours ago, around which time there were also several other bids higher than the around 50 that was showing when I was watching the final moments of the auction.
My question is, why did the listing not show the higher price that should have been caused by those earlier bids, including the £100 one that won the auction?
I hope this makes sense attaching a screenshot of the bid history for clarity.

Mentor7 months agoPeople bid their maximum bid but the actual bid price won't increase until someone else bids against them. Then it will go up by pre-set increments. Here's more info about it:
