Hello, Due to an unfortunate series of evants my account will now go into 'Below Standard' on the 20th of this month, and as a result it will make it almost impossible to carry on trading on Ebay. I have been on Ebay on this account for 8 years and this has not happened before A customer purchased three items from me and the package did not arrive. He opened up a case and I closed the case refunded him and thought that was it. He opened up 2 more cases a few days later for the other two items, which I missed, believeing that I had already refunded for the whole order. So as a result 2 strikes against my account for the one order and now below standard. I called Ebay customer service, as when you click to appeal it takes you to the 'call us' page. After spending just under an hour on ther phone explaining thinking I was getting somewhere I was then told sorry but we can not do anything, you have to fill a form in. I have filled many forms in on Ebay and not once have I ever had a reply! what exactly are my listing fees paying for when the customer service can not do anything. I explained my situation and they basically couldnt care less. Thats fine, chucking an extra 6% fee on top of all my sales now really encourages me to want to carry on with Ebay. Oh and then Ebay disables everything in its power to enable you to make sales, such as high search placement or paid for advertising. So if I thought I could get out of this mess in a month, absorbing the extra fee somehow by ploughing more items on in the hope of making more sales I cant. You basically have to wait for them to fall off the report so thats 3 months... Oh and wait a minute, ebays help pages say that if you have not improved by the 2nd month further restrictions on your account will apply... Youve made it impossible to even try. I asked the lady on the phone if I could be past on the Ebays Customer Retention Team at the end of the phone call, and chuckled when she said who? Im not a massive Ebay seller but so far this year have paid £4k in fees to Ebay. I tried to give up my Sky account a fewe months back and the customer team there were relentless in getting me to stay. I got 4 months free out of them! I have given up trying to talk to Ebay. If they are that complacent about losing customers who literraly pay them thousands of pounds a year then good luck to them! If a customer paid me that much, I would do everything I could to get him back on track, not just punish them relentlessly. Ebay has no loyalty to any of its customers, but I guess we all knew that anyway! I cant afford the extra fee, especially when these days you have to pay god knows how much on top of your final sales fee just to be seen above all the chinese *bleep* on there! I aint paying 20%+ when every other Tom *bleep* & Harry sells for free.... Anyway thats my rant over. I would have sent it to Customer Service, but like I said, whats the point!
