''Below standard'' fees!
I submitted a complaint last week regarding the 'below standard' fees that have been taken from my larger sales, but I have not heard anything back. This is continuing to affect all of my sales going forward, with additional fees being taken each time even though I haven't had a cancelation in a while. Only a very small amount of items overall have been cancelled in the first place - making the ongoing penalty very unfair. Has anyone else had this issue?

Mentor1 week agoHow many orders have you cancelled as out of stock? Has your account has been evaluated as Below Standard for four or more consecutive months?

OP1 week agoI think its 5 transactions out of over 100 sales were cancelled, all for different reasons. Below standard rating is only recent.

Mentor1 week ago · EditedEbay only expect two defects at most per 100 sales, so 5 would put you well over that and make you below standard, which incurs extra fees.https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/sr?query=business+seller+below+standard&origin=1&aiSummary=true

Mentor1 week agoAs outlined by @john1297576 you've gone way over what eBay consider to be acceptable. Sellers don't realise that 'out of stock' or late delivery defects are really damaging to a seller account.
All you can do is to keep an eye of your Seller Dashboard and keep on trying to sell as much as possible as quickly as possible in order to dilute their impact.

OP1 week agoBut surely its unfair that the extra fee is a percentage of the sale value rather than a fixed penalty? If i sold x amount of items under £20, the below standard fees wouldn't affect me as much, but because I've recently sold some higher value items, eBay is taking a much larger amount. I understand being penalised for exceeding the cancellation threshold, but the way the fee is calculated feels disproportionate to the actual issue. And at what point do they stop deducting these fees from me?

Mentor1 week agoNothing you can do here, it's how eBay works and is set out in the Business Seller Fees page. It stops when you get back above standard.
