Basso Palta Carbon Gravel Bike Campagnolo Ekar GT 13 Speed Gold Burn
There's a load of listings for this particular bike ranging from about £950 down to less than £750
Are they genuine, because although this appears to be a discontinued model the sale price with retailers is at least £2,500. I've submitted a report on one of the listings for eBay to have a look.
I'm always concerned when something looks too good to be true and they all appear to be listed under new eBay accounts which makes me suspicious.

eBay work on cases.
Buyers are fully protected under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy if they receive an item not as described, they are guaranteed a full refund if they claim within 30 days. It is up to a buyer on receipt of any item, if there is doubt on authenticity, to have this checked.
If too many cases are opened for item not as described, too many refunds issued, this raises red flags to eBay, they then investigate, and can place selling sanctions on a seller's account, or even total selling bans.

OP11 months agoBut if they notice a lot of identical listings of the same product using brand new "private" accounts and using photos from the manufacturers website and text copied and pasted, with prices well below what would be expected, won't they smell a rat and do something? After a night's sleep it's even more obvious to me that the listings are fake. There is no Basso Gravel Bike on the end of any of them. Anyone listing would have to prove to me it existed by taking some DIY shots in their living room or whatever of the bike for me to have confidence. If you copy and paste the text of my post title and search eBay you'll see what I mean straight away.

·11 months agoThere are millions of items listed on Ebay and thousands (I would guess) of items reported every day.
Ebay simply don't have a team to investigate reported items and, quite honestly, you are simply wasting your time fretting about this.

OP11 months agoYou're being patronising instead of helpful. Have a look into it, it will take a couple of minutes of your time. Am I right or wrong? That's the real question here.
