Banned twice in two days???
Summary: jimga5167_yoo7js shared their experience of being banned twice from a selling platform. Initially, their account was reinstated after a security issue, but it was later permanently banned without a clear explanation. Despite attempting to resolve the issue by contacting support, they were only told their account was labeled as 'high risk selling' without further details, leaving them frustrated and unsure of how to proceed.
I'm new to selling and have been listing things from around the house at a fair price. I've bought a couple of job lots too, with the plan to clean them up and re-sell.
1st ban: rang up, the guy said it was just account security, it wouldn't happen again. Cool. Had to add my listings again, but that's fine.
2nd ban (tonight): Get an email today saying my account has been permanently banned. "
Your account has been suspended because recent account activity has raised serious concerns. We've taken this precaution to protect our members and the eBay community."
As far as I know, I've done everything by the book. I've updated my relevant contact details, added finger print scan, face ID, researched my items to sell at a fair price, bid on things fairly, received my first positive feedback, etc etc etc. So I call up expecting it to be all good. Get put on hold, and whilst on hold, they hang up. I call back again, kept on hold for 15 minutes, and then told bluntly by the guy "your account wont be reinstated". I ask why, he says "high risk selling". I said "what??? All I've done is list a used saxophone, and a couple music books, how is that high risk??" He couldn't tell me.
So now I'm at a complete loss. I'm not allowed to make a new account, and I've been punished and I don't even know what for. Wtf can I do??

Mentor1 week agoSorry but there is nothing you can do about a permanent ban. You will need to look elsewhere to sell your items.
