Bamboo men's underwear
Summary: wotduck!62 expressed frustration after purchasing men's underwear described as bamboo but made from polyester and elastane. They reported this to eBay, leading to the cancellation of one listing. However, further reports of similar listings were rejected. john1297576 suggested that if more buyers opened 'not as described' cases, eBay might take action. red_magpie noted that eBay's user agreement does not guarantee truthful descriptions but offers a strong money-back guarantee for inaccurately described items.
Bamboo men's underwear! i recently purchased a pack of these items, twice in its description it says made with bamboo, when arrived made with polyester and elastane, I elected to return the item and i filled in a report to tell eBay of the lack of description in the listing, eBay stated that the listing had been cancelled due to this, I then reported a further 8 listings which were identical , these were all rejected! when i appealed the rejection this was also rejected quickly, I don't know what else to do as there are hundreds of these for sale all with the same incorrect listing, eBay just wants the money!

Mentor1 month ago · EditedThis is eBay. If you read section 2 of the user agreement you will see that eBay doesn't guarantee that items will be truthfully described (or that they will be safe or even legal!). Never expect eBay to be like the shops - would you buy from a shop that stated this?
What eBay does provide is a strong money back guarantee if an item you receive is not as described.

Mentor1 month agoIf every buyer opened not as described cases, ebay would notice.
Reporting something you have not bought ebay is unlikely to act, especially if AI is involved.
