Auto relist issues

Auto relist seems to have developed a mind of its own, and alas, I am not a mind-reader. In happier times, whenever I created a listing, there always used to be an option to auto-relist via a tick box. Nowadays, they may or may not be a tick box. As often as not, there is just a statement informing me "If your item doesn't sell, we'll relist it up to 8 times for free". This is a black lie. If the item doesn't sell at the end of the first week, it joins the inactive list from where I have to relist it manually.
I aim to list items once a week, all at the same time, and this is messing up my system good and proper. I can't work out if it's a glitch in the machine or just me but, either way, it's a bloody nuisance. Unsurprisingly, the eBay help page is no help at all, so if any of you good folks out there can shed light, I'd be ever so grateful.

Mentor1 month agoJust to add , you have beautiful items but do they not have a 'ceiling level ' for price? If so, list them for that price as Buy it Now's, so if they do not sell then they will automatic ally relist until sold or you manually end the listing.

Mentor1 month agoThere's been a change in how auto relist for auctions work now. It's only available for new sellers and I believe those who have come back after a long break, the ad hoc seller.

OP1 month agoThank you kindly for taking the time to reply. I am not an ad hoc seller, which might explain my issues, but for two particulars: sometimes, the tick-box option is still available, and why eBay would promise "we'll relist (your item) to 8 times for free" if I don't actually qualify for the service!
Thanks also for the BIN suggestion, but . I use the auction format--all listings starting and ending at 6 pm on Sunday evenings, so I only have to think about eBay sales once a week. xx

Mentor1 month agoYes the rules have changed that Only for ad hoc and new sellers is that auto relist available now.
I agree it's not showing as it should that it's not available to one and all.

OP1 month agoLol, I appreciate your commiseration, though I could describe eBay's blatantly false declaration rather less politely!. The old axiom often applied to an organisation incapable of organising a drunken revelry in a brewery springs to mind
