Mentor10 months agoAre you saying that you bought something from a listing that didn't mention authentication but it came with an authentication tag?
If so, did the item and sale meet the authentication parameters, e.g the selling price?

OP10 months agoNo blue tick but mentions ‘already authenticated by eBay’ in item description, the tag on the item doesn’t look real although the QR code does take me to an eBay page displaying the item with the blue tick authenticity guarantee dated 3 months ago

Mentor10 months agoIf the item is covered by the authentication programme then the listing should have the ebay generated authentication message and it needs to go through authentication each time it sells.
Sounds like an elaborate scam.
