Applied a £5 voucher successfully but when I paid (with PayPal) it was the full price. This was a voucher that appeared in the ui and i clicked 'apply'. What happened? Can I get it retrospectively applied by ebay? Or was it a seller thing?

OP6 months agoIt's me, the OP. And part-time fool.
I checked another of the seller's listings and saw the same voucher, but this time I saw that it had a pop-out for more details. And the more details was I had to 'pay by bank' to get the discount.
I guess the message I saw after clicking it was not just 'applied' after all.

Mentor6 months agoEbay have recently introduced pay by bank,
So might have been a promotion to get you to use it.

Mentor6 months agoUnless voucher is used at checkout, it is too late.
No one will give you a refund.

OP6 months agoIt wasn't my voucher, it was a little button on the listing that said something like '£5 off until XX February'. There were two prices listed, one with voucher and one without. And it said it was applied when I clicked it.
PayPal can be a bit odd sometimes and list a different price to the one you actually end up paying, so I thought it would do the same here. But apparently not
