An Authenticator has returned a ring
A gold ring has been returned to me for “not having a hallmark” despite having a very clear hallmark, they also said my listing was confusing.. it wasn’t. Everything I said was true and correct. What can I do?

·10 months agoThe details are in the Ebay Jewellery Policy which applies to all jewellery, but will obviously be checked during authentication - the ring does not have a full UK hallmark.
The 'confusing' part may have referred to the end of the description (looks like you used AI here?) where it says ' finer specimens of chrysoprase can sometimes be mistaken for imperial jade' - it's just irrelevant detail.
Items must meet the requirements of the Hallmarking Act 1973 - opens in new window or tab. For more information on hallmarking, please see the Hallmarking Guidance Notes from the Assay Offices of Great Britain
