Ai created incorrect information, on an item i recently sold
Ai generated a listing with full details that were later on found to be incorrect. The buyer wants a refund because it’s the wrong part for their car.
where do I stand with this? There is nothing wrong with the item, the listing has full explanation with photos. Genuine mistake, but I was misinformed on what the part I was selling.

Mentor5 months agoAs advised by others, it's a seller's full responsibility if using ( the awful AI), to read all full descriptions before sending the item live.
I've never used AI, but tried it to experiment. I was selling a doll , and the AI went on about the soccer team 'she' represented?? !!🤔 Aside from describing her dress as red and white, there was nothing else to report this doll being a football fan !!
My first, brief, and very last, foray with AI !

Mentor5 months agoAsk your seller to open an eBay return and select the 'doesn't match description' reason, you can then issue a returns label via eBay, get your item back and refund the buyer.
If you select to use AI you must check your listing and ensure that the specifications and description are correct.

Mentor5 months agoThe bottom line is sellers are responsible for their listings so buyer is entitled to a refund after the item has been returned.
