AI blocking my listings as they deem that are 'against ebays description policy'
Summary: llew4126 expressed frustration with eBay's AI system, which removed their sock listings due to issues with size descriptions. They questioned the process, concerned about AI's role in decision-making and considered returning to selling at markets for more personal interaction. tobiasd4 responded by noting eBay's updated sizing specifications and implied the need for llew4126 to register as a business seller.
I received an automated message yesterday from ebay saying that 8 items I had individually listed for sale had been withdrawn from sale and therefore could not be viewed by potential Buyers because the listing failed the AI description policy checks. On reviewing each listing (in this case, all the said listings were for pairs of brand new branded socks such as Seasalt, etc), it appears that AI had thrown a wobbly and was rejecting the 'size' listing I had added to the description of size '4 to 7'. What brainless nerd has allowed AI to overstep the mark and remove listings such as these where the sizing is accurate and exactly as the manufacturer states ? If this is early days use of AI then we're all doomed. Are there any humans left running the ebay spaceship to over-rule this ridiculous message, or shall I go back to only selling my items at markets and fairs where it involves a human to human transaction... and even a conversation !

Ebay has recently updated item specifications for clothing
re sizing.
You are trading illegally as unregistered business seller,
Upgrade before ebay may suspend you.
