AGE VARIFICATION
I have just tried to purchase a chain saw only to be told i need age verification which i under stand .
To prove my age i am told i need a credit card which i do not have or ever want. so i spoke to an agent only to be asked can't you borrow one from a friend or relative. How does somebody else's credit card prove my age?
So now i need to find a way of age verification only had this account for 16 years for which the agent thanked me for and then when i pointed out you had to be over 18 to open an ebay account and i have had this account for 16 years how old does that make me minimum he said it was UK LAW that you had to have a credit card for proof of age.

Mentor5 months agoThe CS agent didn't describe the ' borrowing' of the credit card very well.
They meant ask a friend or family member who has a credit card on their eBay account to buy this for you.
A credit card is the only form of age verification that you are 18 or older, that eBay accepts.
