Account safety
I received an MC081 notice on a dormant account that I very rarely use and never to my memory for selling. My message center on that account is blocked, so I cannot see what triggered this. I am concerned someone else may have accessed my account, and I would like to verify my identity to secure or close the account safely.

Mentor1 week agoWe have no access to your accounts, but generally MCo81's are or can be pretty serious. Have you got unpaid fees on that account? You can try and contact customer services, now they may not divulge much but they may help you close it. I would add you also run the risk of having this account restricted if they work out they are linked.

OP1 week agoI've contacted Customer Services who advise me that they have closed the account for lack of information. Obviously the closure is fine. They advise me to open another account so I'm hoping that my main account (which I also don't sell from) will be left alone. There does not appear to be anything action I can take at this point.

Ebay can still link both accounts & as said @tommystrezures they may restrict both accounts.
