Account restricted because of my feedback left? I can’t understand why.
So I purchased two jelly cat toys which were listed to be genuine. They were not cheap! I specifically always filter outside countries other than the uk.
that way I know it’s getting to me faster and more likely genuine.
so when I purchased the toys, it was suppose to get to me the day before my daughters birthday, needed up being more like a week after. When they arrived, they arrived with Chinese import stickers, immediately my heart sank. I opened them up and sure enough they looked nothing like the picture. They were cheap fakes.
I reported the listing and requested a refund. I then left negative feedback stating that the sellers were not uk sellers but imported the items straight from China to uk buyers, the items were also fake.
I included photos of the labels and the fake toys.
apparently I’ve violated eBay policies and my feedback is hidden? I’ve tried to appeal but I get nowhere. Can anyone explain what I’ve done wrong? Am I not allowed to warn other potential buyers about scammers?

Mentor11 months agoIf you mentioned fake in your feedback the seller could ask for it to be removed.
It's to stop competitors from trashing genuine sellers accounts they see as competition to their sales, by leaving false feedback, describing items that seller is selling, as fake.
A carefully worded feedback such as .... disappointed not to receive the item as described and shown in photos, would be warning enough, to others.
In my humble opinion eBay now allowing 500 characters for feedback allows more than enough information given by a buyer, and more potential to fall foul of feedback rules, therefore, more chance of a feedback being removed.
