Accepting a buyers offer is NOT WORKING when I have ‘time away’ selected - can anyone help please?
I’ve been away for a couple of weeks, and have selected ‘time away’ allowing sales whilst I am away on all my listed items. On two separate items, buyers have made an offer which I have accepted, but instead of the buyer being charged straight away, a message is given saying that payment is ‘pending’ but nothing happens and both the listings have remains live and the only way I have been able to complete the sales has been to either amend the listing to buy it now and ask the seller to bid again or if an auction item, ask the bidder to bid at the opening price and wait until the auction finishes. Is this a known glitch with EBay or am I doing something wrong?

·11 months agoI believe what you describe is happening because Ebay have changed the procedure when a buyer makes an offer.
Once you accept the offer, the buyer has 4 days to pay - as they would with an auction.
Meanwhile, the item stays live on the site,
If somebody else makes a better offer or buys for the price on the listing, the other buyer loses out. The deal doesn't close until the original buyer has made payment.
