Accepted offer then buyer declines.
Got an offer on something I was selling today which I accepted. Waiting for payment from the buyer then they declined the accepted offer. I thought an offer that had been accepted by the seller was then a fixed sale. How can it be cancelled by the buyer?

OP1 week agoAfter my acceptance the buyer had to pay. As they managed to decline my accepted offer, made by them, without payment I wouldn’t expect to see it as sold.

Mentor1 week agoAs said buyers cannot change their mind after buying or accepting. Only seller can cancel. Buyer however can decide not to pay then as with any other non payer you give them an unpaid strike after 4 days by cancelling sale for non payment.
You might like to amend your terms, so that members making an offer are required to set up payment details so that if offer is accepted, the payment is instant.

Mentor2 weeks agoDid you ever see the sale in your sold items? Just as a buyer cannot cancel a sale, then an offer that has been accepted cannot be cancelled by the buyer.
To me it appears that the acceptance was not made properly.

OP2 weeks agoThe seller hadn’t paid, they then declined my acceptance of their offer. I’ve cancelled my listing as there’s something funny going on.

If they declined your offer and you ended the listing it doesn't sound like they accepted the offer and the listing ended as sold.

OP2 weeks agoThey made an offer, I accepted. They had not paid. Later they declined my acceptance of their offer (? How ?). Later I looked to see if they had paid based on my acceptance of their offer, that’s when I saw the offer and my acceptance of it was not there and they had put in a much lower bid price. As I’m going on holiday I so just ended the listing until I can sort out on my return. I still do not understand how this can happen with accepted offers made by a buyer.
