Abysmal eBay Customer Service
Summary: marblac_3220 shared their experience with a problematic transaction on eBay, where an item didn't arrive, and they received only a partial refund for returned items. They expressed frustration with eBay's customer service due to a lack of follow-up after contacting them. *vyolla* noted the mistake of not scanning return labels, while tobiasd4 suggested opening a separate case for each item. marblac_3220 is seeking advice on how to pursue the missing refund.
I purchased items from a company (a2zukfashionltd) through eBay. One of the items didn't arrive. On querying this with the seller, they assured me they had sent the missing item. Several messages later, they accepted they hadn't. I decided to return the three items that did arrive. As they came in one parcel, I returned them in the same packaging. I printed off the returns labels and included them inside the package and put one on the outside of the package to be scanned at the Post Office. The items cost £50.47 in total and I have received a credit of £10.93. I presumably made the mistake of not scanning all the labels. I've spoken to eBay customer services on 23 July as the case was closed when I tried to query it online. They said I would receive an email following the conversation about the next steps. This email never materialised. I am really disappointed with eBay. I expected some support. I am hoping they might see this post and actually do something about it. Any suggestions about how to pursue my missing refund?

Mentor1 month agoAn honest seller would have refunded even though you did not follow correct procedure, but with no proof of delivery ebay will not help.
Did you open a not received case for the missing item?

Mentor1 month agoYou should have opened an ebay case for each item and sent them back separately.

Mentor1 month agoUnfortunately you did make a mistake with not getting those return labels scanned.
I can't see a way to pursue the missing part of your refund here. Even a debit/credit card chargeback isn't advisable.
