abuse from potential buyer - what to do if anything
Summary: trickmeister shared their experience with a potential buyer who initially sent low offers for two books. After trickmeister countered with a higher price, the buyer responded negatively, withdrawing offers and using abusive language. trickmeister wonders if other sellers would pursue any further action.
received 3 messages from a potential buyer, the first 2 with lowball offers(half of the potential order value) - here are the messages and my responses - have not yet responded to the last message where the abuse occurs - would other sellers be wanting to take this further?
Hello, I would like to offer £50 for this book and £25 for Kronfeld on Gliding. Many thanks
I would consider £110 for the 2 books, both are hard to find and are in pretty good condition, the patents book has 8 people watching it, the Kronfeld has not been listed very long
I will pass on the aeroplane book. I would offer £55 for the Kronfeld and the Paul Bowles Hours After Noon books.
you seem to expect/hope for me to halve my reasonable prices for you, - sorry, it isn't happening
Your prices are too high. I was offering fair and reasonable offers. I now withdraw my offers. I am not interested in dealing with greedy and stupid people such as yourself. Don’t bother to reply as it will go straight to trash where you belong. You are now blocked and banned.
