Hello, I purchased a hard drive

I have purchased this in good faith the unit that this hard drive was in. I had to send off for testing as there was a problem with my CCTV system. They tested out all the components plus this hard drive now the hard drive has shown up as a fault and it has been reported back to me. I have contacted this seller several times and he has just ghosted my messages

Therefore, I tried to send off the hard drive under warranty to Seagate this was their reply

We sincerely apologize for the issue you are experiencing with your hard drive. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide data recovery services or replacements for this drive, as it is out of reign. Seagate does not support replacements for this product in your region and it should be sold in different reign.

please reach out to Ebay for a replacement with a drive that is have a valid warranty in your reign.

Kindly note that the available solutions regarding the warranty for this drive. The warranty period is three years and can be adjusted to begin from the date of purchase once you provide the invoice. If you have a valid address in China, you may claim the warranty for this drive there. However, the warranty is not applicable in the UK, as this product should not have been sold in that market. In such circumstances, the drive should be replaced for you.

As you can see and understand that this hard drive was not meant to be sold in this country therefore going against eBay's selling policies it is illegal item and my warranty has been avoided by the seller

All I want is a full refund for this product. Can anyone help me to get this resolved, please?

I have contacted eBay with not much success as the seller is still online and the seller is not responding to me I am completely within my rights to the trade and standards act to ask for a full refund as this item was not meant to be sold within this country also the item was not fit for purpose and has not lasted a reasonable amount of time

Your experiance provides another remnder that buying from unknown sellers on eBay (especially sellers in China) is not like buying from the shops.

eBay specifically warns buyers in the user agreement that they don't guarantee the quality of items sold here, or that they will be truthfully described, safe, legal or even exist. Would you buy from a shop that stated this? eBay is a jungle.

The transaction is entirely between the seller and the buyer, but eBay's own money back guarantee covers most items for 30 days. After this, eBay has no interest.
