👋 Hi eBay Community!
I'm excited to introduce myself — I just created my eBay business account and I'm ready to dive into this amazing marketplace!
As a newcomer, I'd love to learn from your experiences. You all have the knowledge I need, and I believe this community is the best place to ask:
🛍️ Which products have worked best for you as a seller?
❌ Which products or categories should a new seller avoid?
⚠️ What challenges or difficulties did you face when you first started on eBay — and how did you overcome them?
✅ What positive experiences have made your eBay journey worthwhile?
Whether it's tips on pricing, shipping, customer service, or choosing the right niche — I'm all ears! 👂
I truly appreciate any advice, big or small. This community looks incredible, and I can't wait to learn from all of you and hopefully contribute back one day.
Thank you so much in advance! 🙏

Mentor1 month agoIf you are selling tech items, then you are in the most popular selling group of items on eBay, which also means the biggest competition too.
When peeps are faced with a vast choice for the same item, there is a feature far right of every listing ' Best Match', and one of the options is ' Lowest price + P & P '. A buyer will nearly always select the cheapest item when seeing the same, listed by many sellers.
Check out your competitors, price yours lower even by 50p, this makes it more attractive to buyers.
The first 4 words in a title are the most important, these are the ones a buyer will search with. Use them well, no point adding ' lovely' / ' super' , for example into a title, a buyer will not use those superlatives to search.
Photographs are as important as a description, use as many of the 24 allowed per item as you feel will show the item correctly.
I'm presuming as a Business you will be selling all new items ? If there is any fault / or mark on the item describe this fully.
Fast dispatch is also appreciated.
Good luck have fun too, and wishing you very successful selling ! 🤗

Mentor1 month agoYou need to post on the business seller board, but bear in mind times are hard and people might not have the time or the inclination to answer some of your questions.

OP1 month agoThat's the harsh truth. There are a few people who want to help others. Thanks for the suggestion, btw.
