a buyer wants to collect in person
I have on item which a buyer wants to collect in person and because I am not paying postage asks for a reduction of price. This is acceptable to me. How do I best arrange this with ebay?

Mentor5 months agoIf you're willing to allow collection in person it's best to include this as an option in the listing.
That way, if the buyer chooses collection they won't have to pay for delivery and eBay will provide them with a collection code - which is your protection against a buyer collecting an item and later fraudulently claiming not to have received it. (eBay no longer allows sellers to ask for payment in cash on collection, which was safer for them. All items have to be paid for through eBay's checkout before the collection address can even be provided.)

Mentor5 months agoYou should cancel the transaction with buyer's agreement and relist at new price for collection. That way the buyer will get the collection code from ebay to give you to prove they have the item.
