Hello .

Had a message sent to me from eBay

saying

that the above item i purchased in 2024

had been recalled as it posed a safety risk of catching fire

i tried to get in touch with the seller

but no reply

where do i stand with getting my money back on this

is it something eBay has to deal with or the seller ?

do i contact trading standards

Cameron

Even though ebay send out these notices their deadline for claims is still only 30 days from delivery date. So they won't do anything to help. If it was a business seller contact trading standards and Citizens Advice. Good luck.
