100% Seller Feedback
Summary: The discussion revolves around the topic of maintaining a 100% seller feedback. Participants are engaged with the subject, showing interest in sharing strategies or experiences that contribute to this goal. However, the content of their exchanges is not detailed in the provided summary.
Hi all,
For a few items I noticed that sellers were listed as having 100% seller feedback. "Great!" I thought. Upon closer inspection it seems that they have no feedback at all. See example image. (This is just one seller profile of many I've seen in this situation.)
Even if eBay has flipped the model to provide an artifically inflated positive spin by awarding all sellers this glowing 100% feedback label at the outset and they lose it incrementally with each negative bit of feedback, this is at best unforgivably inept and misleading and, at worst, deliberately disingenuous.
How can someone who has no selling history at all be described as having 100% feedback when they evidently they have zero feedback?
Since eBay has hacked all customer service lines and support by actual human beings, perhaps some from the community can help. Does anyone from eBay even check these forum posts?
Thank you.

Mentor2 months agoSellers used to able to leave negative feedback for buyers but it became a dangerous minefield, so stopped years ago.
That seller is new with 1 live listing,
You're covered by MBG is you buy and there is a problem.
This is a an ebay forum, we don't make the rules, ebay do.

Buyers always have 100% feedback, as sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers.
So if they never sell, it will always be 100%.

Sellers being unable to leave negative feedback for buyers might be something else eBay should think about, so perhaps you've raised another valid shortcoming of feedback on eBay.
As it stands, the title says "About this seller". Directly beneath that (under the seller name) it reads "100% feeback". Experienced eBay users may have learned that it relates to feedback as a buyer, but it should specify which it is. Under this title, it's a contradiction when just to the right it says "No feedback received".

Mentor2 months agoIt clearly says no seller feedback, not no feedback.
Ebay stopped negative feedback for buyers over 15 years ago, it's not coming back.

Mentor2 months agoIt will be feedback as a buyer. Members with no feedback at all have 0%.
