1 year warranty on a car part
Hi all i brought a item from a seller which came with 1 year warranty advertised however the part failed withina few weeks, i cannot contact ebay as it says start a return, the car part cannot be taken out without a new unit fit. what do you do in this situation.
PS it has been months since back and forth messages with the seller but they are just not intrested and keep making excuses or asking for random things like a headed letter from garage (which was given) to say its faulty

Mentor4 months agoIt's too late to do anything via ebay but if it's still within 120 days of payment contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback.
Another option, if the value makes it worthwhile, would be to use the small claims court, now called money claim online:

If they are business sellers also contact Trading Standards.

OP4 months agoSurely eBay should be able to step in or be contacted as its still up for sale? - the value is just below £90 so not sure if its worth doing a claim or court however the business is still selling with the advertisement of ''1 year warranty'' but is failing to replace/refund and now even reply.

Mentor4 months agoEbay will only 'step in' when you use the money back guarantee which requires you to be able to return the item to the seller.
There are no exceptions to this.
