How do you swap details to make a collection

I've recently won a bid for a motorcycle, I believe the seller is doing so in good faith, as a buyer I'm equally willing to be upfront and fair. I'm still within the 4 day payment limit, but obviously would like to put eyes on the machine before paying for it.
I have tried messaging the seller my name contact number & e-mail address, however i don't think those messages are getting through as according to the messaging fine print all messages with personal details & contact information are blocked by the e-bay AI.
How do you get information to the seller, and how on earth do you arrange collection if you can't swap addresses?
Any advice would be appreciated.

·1 month agoeBay does not allow buyers to view items without first paying for the item by gong through eBay checkout. eBay sees viewing items before paying for them as the start of a possible off-eBay transaction. If after purchase, the item is then found to be not what the buyer expects then both parties agree on a cancellation.

·1 month agoUnlikely that you can pay for a Vehicle through eBay checkout unless it has been listed in the wrong category, also be aware that there is NO Buyer protection or guarantees for Vehicles and exchange of contact details for viewing are only permitted in Classified Ads. category.
You may need to cancel and request that it be listed correctly for viewing prior to paying with Cash or Bank Transfer before collection --- stay safe >

I'm not sure if it works the same way for motorbikes but it sounds as though it does.. With collection items, you need to pay before you can share personal details: name, address, phone number.
You then get a collection code which you don't hand over until you are happy to accept the purchase after inspection. So you have a right to cancel the sale if you are not happy.
The payment is just to secure the item until you collect and make sure that it is as described and happy with it. Going through Ebay payments means that you are protected against an item not as described.
